Jarosław Bełza (born 1968) is a graduate of the Politechnika Krakowska Department of Architecture . Even during his studies, he received many distinctions and awards in architecture competitions such as : "Skawina 2000", "Elewacje", "Projekt Roku". He has been Profap's head designer since 2004 and is the creator of our distinct style that incorporates using natural materials and well-proportioned shapes.

In 2006, the ARREDO bedroom, designed by Jarosław, received the "Product of the Year" award from "Meble Plus", a magazine renowned in the furniture trade. "Elle Decoration" magazine awarded the ARA chest of drawers with the "Godło Prodeco" award, also in 2006. Two years later, the SENSO bedroom was awarded the Gold Medal prize during the International Furniture Fair "Meble 2008" in Poznań and found itself in the final of the "Dobry Wzór 2009" competition in 2009. The PIANO bedroom was also awarded the Gold Medal prize during the 2009 International Furniture Fair in Poznań.

Platform

Platform was founded in 2007 by Gernot Oberfell (1975) and Jan Wertel (1976). Both studied Industrial Design in Stuttgart at the State Academy of Arts, a school which is based on the model of the Ulmer Schule and the Bauhaus.
Before their London based practice was formed they both worked several years for Ross Lovegrove Studio. During this time they designed for clients such as Artemide, Yamagiwa, Louis Poulsen, Moroso, Serralunga, Sony, VitrA/Turkey, Issey Miyake and Tag Heuer.

Their work ranges from furniture, lighting and industrial products to experimental research pieces.

Gernot Oberfell and Jan Wertel share a strong interest in new technologies and processes and at an early stage in their careers discovered the possibilities of computer aided design. Software is not just used as an everyday tool, but becomes through experimentation a source of inspiration, and helps discovering new and exciting form languages. Their work combines these experiments with the logic and beauty of organic forms and the reality of product design: the right use of materials, production processes and ergonomics.
